Fees

Membership with Girl Guides NSW & ACT

Girls are required to become members of Girl Guides NSW & ACT. The annual membership fee is lower than for most sporting club registrations. It pays for insurance and helps produce resources and events.

Parents receive a registration form signed by the Leader and dated with the girls first meeting. You are required to register two weeks after the first visit. This should be posted directly to

Guide House
PO Box 950
Strawberry Hills NSW 2012

Guide House will send you an invoice one month before registration is next due. (2018 = $140 per year)

Elanora District Fees

A simple envelope system is used to collect fees. At the beginning of each term, an envelope is issued to your child, with their name and the amount owing. Cash or cheques are to be returned as soon as possible to your Leader, or the Treasurer. Direct deposit is also available (details on your envelope).

$35 - One off Joining / Book Fee
This is to cover the cost of the Girl Guide Handbook (age appropriate) Aim High (badge book) & badges for the promise.

$10 - Support Group Voluntary Contribution (per term per family)
This is a tax deductible fee (official receipt issued) which is used by the District Support Group (see definition below) for the maintenance of the hall, phone, District scarves, bags, Leader Training and promotional material. Whilst it is voluntary, we ask that it is supported by each family, however if you experience difficulty, please talk to your Leader. If it is convenient to your family, we prefer this to be paid in advance (ie x4 terms = $40) to help our Treasurer.

$20 - Unit Fee (per term per girl)
This fee is used for the weekly costs of running the Guide Unit (materials, food items etc). Direct deposit is also available - units have their own bank accounts, so please ask your Leader for details.
